AJ lives and breathes opportunity and innovation. Her daily mission? Seeking the next frontier of nutrition and investigating the unknown. She makes sure researchers across Purina have what they need to discover and commercialize solutions. AJ links research to product development through innovation in formulation and nutrient systems, ingredients, processes and tools.
What keeps AJ awake at night? Managing product risks and enhancing quality. She’s passionate about making Purina the partner of choice through innovation in products, tools and resources. Her next move? Exploring the use of new technologies to further advance profitability and sustainability of the livestock enterprise.
AJ is from the Philippines. She received her masters and Ph.D. from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, studying animal and gut microbial amino acids and how its influenced by fiber in swine. Prior to joining Purina Animal Nutrition, AJ worked with Cargill Animal Nutrition for more than 20 years, leading the global swine research group and consulting in poultry nutrition across the Asia-Pacific region.
